The Reuther Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG was founded on December 21st, 2000.

Within the move to the new company building in “Hinter der Jungenstraße 14” the Reuther Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG was renamed on January 1st, 2010 in “UNGER Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG”.

Operations were originally based on precut material and positioning supports for radiotherapy and radiooncology. The innovative opportunities for application offered by carbon fibers, which were primarily developed in aircraft engineering, racecar and boat construction, enabled us to expand the product range. For this reason, the company moved to larger production facilities in Mülheim-Kärlich on the Rhine in Germany.

Our company is certified according to ISO EN 9001 and meets all of the inspection specifications required in the medical technology branch as well as the clinically relevant regulations.

The outstanding properties of carbon fibers and the adhesion possibilities they offer allow, among other things, the manufacture of complete tabletops featuring excellent solidity, surface tension but low rates of absorption. The results obtained with AutoKlav Technology allowed us to use it widely for tabletop manufacturing in medical applications, primarily in radiotherapy, computer tomography and for operating tables.

Our own construction department with affiliated model and sample building has put us in a position to meet the individual desires of our clients. That is also precisely the strength of our company: It is linked to engineering capabilities that have grown along with it. And besides our domestic distribution, our global relationships are becoming increasingly important for us.

Today, the application of Autoklav carbon fiber technology, and increasingly RTM processing and the use of other plastics, ensure the best in modern manufacturing and future quality enhancements.

Cooperation arrangements with such medical partners as the clinics at the Universities in Munich and Großhadern, Jena and Magdeburg as well as the Municipal Clinics in Fulda and Potsdam are evidence of the extent of our work.
