Positioning supports are used in radiotherapy to position the patient precisely during radiation therapy son each of the therapy days. Depending on the client’s specific wishes and application we produce each system either in foam or carbon. No.: L-KB] UNGER Combiboard made of carbon offers a complete solution for radiology on the head, the chest and the stomach. Special arm holders made of carbon fibers along with a variety of different head-positioning cushions are fastened onto the Combiboard can be adjusted and inclined into a number of positions and combined with every head cushion. An adjustable bottomstop prevents the patient from sliding down. Fixation points for use on the head, the head-shoulder area, mammary and abdomen masks are included. The new version of the combi-board includes an optimized and patented locking system for the arm holders and the shoulder supports. The positioning on the radiation table is carried out by means of the existing indexing rail of the respective device manufacturer (Please note: The indexing rail is not included in the scope of supply.). Combiboard can also be delivered for use in MRT, here without any metallic structures or connections. No.: L-KSP-QF-L] A long head-shoulder plate made of carbon represents an expansion on our head-shoulder plate and allows use of all the  positioning supports we manufacture. The plate with a length of 980 mm and a width of 555 mm can be pushed over the end of the radiation table to position the patient's head outside the holding table. These precuts are offered without or with a variety of different fastening options (disposable L-profiles in white and black, carbon L-profiles, screwable on for multi-use). The thermoplastic precut material can be brought into a workable state by immersing it in water at a temperature of 65°C and then adjusted to fit the contour of the patient. Normal handling and touching of the materials does not lead to any adhesion. The material is also non-toxic, does not cause skin reactions, does not separate and can be disposed of environmentally. Alongside standard precuts, you can also get special precuts for the chest and stomach areas, also for arms and legs. The thermoplastic precuts material is available in four different kinds, one uncoated variety named Softix and three coated varieties called Micro, Multi and Non-perforated. All kinds can be disinfected.  We also deliver raw plate material for customized, patient-specific precuts.
