Data Protection Policy
for processing data on the website

As a website operator, we take the protection of your personal data very seriously, i.e. the data registered in conformity with applicable data protection regulations when you visit our website. Your data will not be published nor will it be passed on without authorization to any third party.

The following is a description of the data we register from you when you visit our website and how exactly we use it.

1. Data registration and processing when accessing websites from
the Internet

When you visit our website, our server provider temporarily saves each access in a log file. The following data is registered and saved until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the accessing computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the file accessed
  • Amount of data transmitted
  • Report on whether access was successful
  • Registration data of the browser and operating system employed
  • Website from which access was made

This data is processed for the purpose of allowing use of the website (dial-up), assuring system security, permitting technical administration of the network infrastructure and enhancing Internet offerings by automatically drawing up anonymous statistics. The IP address is only evaluated when attacks are made to the network infrastructure of our web server.

No personal user profiles are created. The German law on tele-media, the "Telemediengesetz" (TMG), in Sec. 15 Para. 3 thereof, allows for the use of user profiles under a pseudonym as long as the user does not oppose this. If we make use of this opportunity in our Internet offerings, we will inform of doing so in the appropriate place and point out your right of objection to it.

When using the contact form, the information entered there is processed by our provider, transferred to us by email and then stored.

Personal data will not be processed above and beyond the cases named above, unless you expressly consent to any further-going processing thereof.

2. Use and transfer of personal data

Your personal data shall only be used for the purposes given and only to the extent required to attain said purposes.

Personal data shall be transferred to official institutions and authorities solely within the framework of compulsory national legal requirements or if such transfer is necessary for criminal investigations or prosecutions in cases of attacks made to our network infrastructure. No other transfers shall be made to any third parties for any other purposes.

3. Cookies

We do not use cookies on our website.

4. Links to websites of other providers

Our website may contain links to websites of other providers. We would like to point out that this Data Protection Policy applies exclusively to our website. We have no influence on and no control over whether such other providers adhere to any data protection regulations.

5. Right to information and contact data

You have a right to be informed as to the personal data that has been stored about you, and furthermore you also have a right to correct, block and delete any incorrect data.

If you desire any information, correction and/or deletion of personal data about you, or if you have any further inquiries as to the use of the personal data you have turned over to us, please contact us. You will find how to get in touch with us in the imprint section.

Should you wish to contact us by email, we would like to remind you that the content of uncoded emails can be viewed by third parties. We would thus recommend that you send any confidential information to us either in encoded form or by post.

6. Inclusion, applicability and currency of this Data Protection Policy

This Data Protection Policy is valid at present and dated on November 26, 2008.

Further developments to our website or the implementation of new technologies may require this Data Protection Policy to be changed in future. We reserve the right to change this Data Protection Policy effective for the future. We thus recommend that you read through the current Data Protection Policy again from time to time.
